The carbon flows in the benthic food web of the Arctic observatory HAUSGARTEN were modelled. The linear inverse model was based on a large set of empirical and literature data. Carbon processing in the benthic food web was dominated by bacteria. Dependency indices show fauna to depend equally on labile and semi-labile detritus.
