2011's Billion-Dollar Disasters: Is Climate Change to Blame?
Description: In 2011 the United States experienced weather events that rivaled or exceeded some of America's most iconic weather extremes-the "Super" tornado outbreak of 1974, the Dust Bowl summer of 1936, and the great Mississippi flood of 1927. At least two other weather disasters may end up costing $1 billion by the time the accounting is complete. [Source: Weatherwise]
