Deforestation and forest degradation in India - implications for REDD+
Description: Reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+) is considered as an important mechanism under the UNFCCC aimed at mitigating climate change. Although India has traditionally been characterized a low forest low deforestation (LFLD) country, this analysis suggests that there is significant deforestation and forest degradation occurring in India.
