Volcanic systems are known to be affected by pressure from ice sheets. Changing sea-level affects the pressure on mid-ocean ridges (MOR). Here, researchers model the effect of glacially-driven changing sea level on MOR CO2 emissions. Calculations suggest CO2 emissions vary up to plus or minus 6% and lag sea-level by about 100 kyrs.
