The Changjiang Estuary plays an important role in the land-ocean interactions of East Asia, particularly in regard to the fate of land-derived materials and their impact on marine ecosystems in the Northwest Pacific Ocean. This paper is one of 12 papers included in a special issue of the Journal of Marine Systems that describe results from the MEcoPAM Study.
