Evidence for Ocean Warming
Description: This is all about Global Ocean Heat Content (GOHC) or how much heat is in the ocean. Water has a very high heat capacity - about 4 Joules per gram per degree Celsius. So much of the heat that the atmosphere absorbs from the sun is soon transferred to the ocean where is it is stored. The ocean absorbs the heat in its surface waters then it moves around in the ocean currents and mixes into the depths of the ocean during winter storms. [Source: Wunderground]
