Our Blue Backyard: Will ecosystems hit tipping point?
Description: Tipping points represent a rapid transformation that occurs when an ecosystem loses its resilience, or its capacity to cope with change. Tipping points occur because the connections between components of the ecosystem change. [Source: New Zealand Herald]
