Description: |
With the steady rise in temperature in Kerala, the ultraviolet (UV) radiation index in the state stands at alarmingly high levels. The high level of UV radiation is attributed to less cloud cover and a dip in atmospheric moisture. As per data, the radiation has touched 10 UV index in most parts of the state, with Thiruvananthapur and Wayanad recording a maximum level of 12. [Source: Manorama Online (Kerala, India)]
