Earth science would receive $1.8 billion under President Trump's budget request, as opposed to the $1.9 billion it received in 2016. But with the relatively small cuts comes the termination of a few upcoming space missions. That includes PACE, a spacecraft that's supposed to orbit Earth and study global ocean color, in order to better understand ocean health.
