Hurricane forecasters are tracking two more waves crossing the Atlantic as Hurricane Gert begins turning east and heads out to sea. In their advisory, National Hurricane Center forecasters said Gert was headed northeast at about 10 mph and is expected to speed up and make a sharper turn later in the day. Gert, which became a hurricane late Monday, marks the season's second as the Atlantic enters what has historically been its peak for churning out hurricanes. [Source: Miami Herald]
