This article presents a new data set of snow water resources over the Andes extratropical region of the countries of Chile and Argentina. The methods integrate Landsat satellite data with numerical models to derive an enhanced snow data set for a region where access to in situ snow measurements is limited due to geographical and logistical constrains.
