On the effect of a new grand minimum of solar activity on the future climate on Earth
Description: The lengthy lull in current solar activity suggests the Sun might experience a prolonged period of low activity similar to the Little Ice Age in the late 17th century. Researchers used a climate model to explore the effect of low solar activity on future global temperatures. The model indicates a temperature decrease that is much smaller than the warming expected from anthropogenic emissions. [Source: GEOPHYSICAL RESEARCH LETTERS]
