UBC robot to probe Antarctic sea ice
Description: Canadian researchers are preparing to deploy an underwater robot that will study Antarctic sea ice, which is expected to decline more than 33 per cent by 2100. The robot will help the scientists measure the impact melting sea ice has on the mixing of sea water. The information gleaned from the experiment will be used for the Antarctica 2010 Glacier Tongues and Ocean Mixing Research Project. [Source: CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation)]
