How do Nutrients and Pollutants affect Estuaries? (Map 1 of 2)
How do Nutrients and Pollutants affect Estuaries? (Map 1 of 2)
First concept map presented by Linda Kalnejais during her November 2010 webinar. She focused on nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorous and iron, which are necessary for the survival of organisms. However, when they accumulate in excess, nutrients can endanger the health of the organisms by creating poor water quality conditions, even dead zones.

How do Lobsters Survive in the Gulf of Maine from Hatch to Catch?
Concept map presented by Dr. Rick Wahle during his February 2011 webinar. His map provides a wealth of information about the life cycle of American lobsters (Homeras americanus); their settlement process and the predation, environmental, and disease factors affecting their survival and recruitment to later life stages.
