Persistent Organic Pollutants - 09.23.2010

Penny Vlahos and Sue Klemmer
On September 22, COSEE-OS hosted their third Research-Based Online Learning Event (ROLE) Model webinar featuring research scientists and educators who use concept mapping to develop and communicate ideas.

University of Connecticut scientist Penny Vlahos presented her research on Persistent Organic Pollutants through a multimedia concept map and Sue Klemmer, a science teacher at Camden Hills Regional High School, Camden, Maine, described how she's used concept mapping in the classroom. Carla Companion, COSEE-OS Research Associate, also provided instruction on accessing and downloading Penny's concept map from the COSEE-OS suite of multimedia tools. Watch for blogs summarizing the webinar, where additional questions posed to the presenters will be further discussed.

This presentation is now available online.
