Negotiating a Postdoc Position (Webinar Series) - 05.02.2013

On Tuesday, April 30, COSEE-OS hosted the second webinar in a two-part series put together by the Institute for Broadening Participation (IBP) on applying for and negotiating a postdoc position. This webinar focused on what a person might do once they find their ideal postdoc position.

How does one negotiate the right position to fit one’s needs? Participants (89 total, from 24 states and 3 countries) heard from Dr. Ashanti Johnson of IBP as well as two guest speakers: Dr. Edward Krug (Medical University of South Carolina), who discussed how to get the most out of a postdoc experience, and Dr. Joniqua Howard (Universidad de Puerto Rico, Mayaguez) who talked about her personal experience with the postdoc process.
