Background with Respect to Ocean Sciences Education:

An advocate for providing access to NASA to museums and other informal science education providers, including libraries, youth groups, out-of-school-time activities, and parks; co-created the NASA Museum Alliance, which serves over 250 museums, science centers, planetariums, aquariums, & nature centers worldwide; principal investigator on a NASA grant - Polar Literacy Networks - to provide information and resources to museums, aquariums, zoos, libraries, and the public about NASA's polar research during International Polar Year; UCLA graduate with graduate work at USC; Fellow of the International Planetarium Society, participating in many NASA missions to explore our solar system, universe, and planet Earth
