Dr. Clarice Yentsch
Research Scientist and Adjunct Professor

Clarice loves learning, teaching and mentoring, experiences that she believes are inseparable. She is a firm believer that research is the leading edge of education. Teaching and systemic reform experiences include pre-kindergarten through graduate school. Included are design and implementation of technology transfer of state-of-the-art optical instrumentation and application innovation for professionals worldwide. From 1974-1993 Clarice was a research scientist at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences and from 1993-1998 at the Education Development Center, Newton, MA with responsibilities for systemic reform, teacher professional development, curriculum development and program evaluation. From 1998 to 2001 Clarice was an independent consultant with the American Museum of Natural History, 79th and Central Park West, New York City, NY. From 2002 to 2008 Clarice was Director of Education and then head of Special Initiatives for the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum in Key West, FL. At present she is a consultant with the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. and a research scientist and adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University Oceanographic Center in Dania Beach, Florida.
