Dr. Scott Glenn's work revolves around collaboration. His field of research – ocean observing – requires multiple
levels of collaboration in order to move forward, partnerships between scientists and industry, scientists and
engineers, scientists and modelers, scientists and data translators. Well-rehearsed teams are necessary to construct
and interpret data from complex missions. Ocean observing has become multi-disciplinary by nature.
Scott's work with students is based on collaborations as well. The COOL room is a collaborative space where
scientists, engineers, modelers and students work together as a team. Multi-layered projects such as Atlantic
Crossing would only be possible through adept collaborations. And COSEE NOW has enhanced Scott's skills in building
and working in collaborative spaces, such as the multi-component Campus at Sea.
