Dr. Adina Paytan’s personal history includes traveling as a young person to the far flung corners of the globe, perhaps making her more aware of the vast range of conditions and ecosystems on our planet. Her work in biogeochemical cycles reflects her interest in research questions that utilize the interactions and feedbacks of different components of these cycles – in other words, thinking globally.
