COSEE California and COSEE-OS (as part of a collaborative grant with COSEE NOW and COSEE California) hosted this Faculty/Graduate Student Collaborative Workshop on October 5-7, 2011 at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California. This workshop, the last in the series of four pilot events, focused on concept mapping as a tool for deconstructing complex science, and as a way of reaching undergraduate audiences.

Scripps faculty learned to create maps based on their own research interests. Afterward, the faculty and graduate students worked together to fine-tune these maps for presentation to an undergraduate audience. On the final day of the workshop, the undergraduate students provided feedback on the graduate students' group presentations.
